Portfolio: Residential: San Rafael CA 02: Before 1  Before | After   Sometimes the most glaring problems on a house are the last to be fixed in the orderly sequence of construction. In this case, a large Classic Box style house suffering from years of neglect and unsympathetic alterations needed everything. ROBA was initially contacted about how to improve the appearance exterior, but it quickly became apparent that the house needed much more. After some discussion, it was determined that tackling the whole project at once was impractical, and a master plan was created that divided the project into phases. A relationship between ROBA and the client that started with a consultation about curb appeal became a 10-year collaboration resulting in a complete makeover.
