Portfolio: Residential: Kitchen, San Francisco CA 04: Extension   The remodeled kitchen opens to the garden through the glass-enclosed extension at left. An additional pair of doors with fanlight transom was added to the right of the extension. A steel frame was buried in the structure surrounding the extension for seismic reinforcement. At the center of the kitchen is an island with sink and dishwasher. An eating area, located to the right, adjoins the conservatory.
