Portfolio: Residential: Oakland CA 02: Rendering   Watercolor rendering for a new home built on the site of a house destroyed in the Oakland fire of 1992. The clients were inspired by the houses of the English Arts and Crafts, as well as by the work of Charles Rennie Macintosh, whose design for Hill House influenced the exterior forms and detailing. The downslope site is steep, typical of many in the Oakland hills, allowing for a spacious home with a cottage-like appearance from the street.
