The design for the new storefront was based on a Stick Style example depicted in a pattern book published in the 1880’s. The entire storefront was restructured with vertical elements at regular intervals, new storefront sash and transoms, and a parapet above the original cornice line. The geometric, textured Stick Style ornamentation of the redesigned storefront reinforces the vertical orientation established by the structural bays and windows.
